BAE Archer

The BAE Archer is a 6×6 wheeled SP howitzer on a Volvo A30D dump-truck chassis with an automatic 155 mm/52-cal turret. Notably the entire howitzer is operational within 30 seconds — no crew has to dismount, all handling is via cabin controls. The UK bought 14 Archers from Sweden in 2023 as a quick replacement for the AS90 sent to Ukraine. Sweden is the original user, and Ukraine received 6 vehicles. Combat record: highly effective in counter-battery in Ukraine.
