Operating principle
Lighter general-purpose frigates. The Type 31 (Babcock Arrowhead 140 derivative of the Iver Huitfeldt) and the Iver Huitfeldt class (Denmark) are modular, affordable, and aimed at patrol and presence missions. Poland's Miecznik program chose a Type 31 derivative (Babcock + PGZ) for 3 frigates. Indonesia is building an Arrowhead 140 variant.
