Operating principle
WorldView Legion is Maxar's latest optical constellation (6 satellites, 30 cm panchromatic resolution, first two launched 2024). Operated commercially under NOAA license, with US and NATO government customers as primary users. Restrictions: the Kyl-Bingaman Amendment limits the resolution of Israeli territory to ~0.5 m for commercial US providers — a unique geographic exception in commercial remote sensing.
