Operating principle

Anduril embodies the "attritable autonomy" school: drones cheap enough to lose and smart enough to operate autonomously in swarms. Altius-600/700M are tube-launched drones (artillery cylinder, aircraft- or helicopter-launched) with EO/IR or ESM payloads or a warhead, used as "shooter-spotter" teams. Roadrunner-M is a reusable interceptor drone with twin-jet propulsion — it flies up against an incoming drone or cruise missile, destroys the target, and if no target is engaged it returns autonomously to the launch station for reuse. Bolt-M is a newer, smaller squad-level platform. They are all controlled by Anduril's Lattice OS — a command-and-control layer that integrates sensor and effector data into a "common operational picture" without an operator having to drive each individual platform directly. Part of the Pentagon's Replicator initiative (2,000+ attritable systems by 2025). Prices not public; source: Anduril company materials.
