Operating principle
The Lynx KF41 is Rheinmetall's tracked-IFV offering from the 2010s — 50 tons, 1,140 hp, modular armor, Lance 2.0 turret (35/50 mm Bushmaster III, ATGM, drone launcher). The Lynx is a more modular concept than CV90: the same base chassis can become IFV, MEDEVAC, command post or mortar platform by swapping modules. Hungary is the first customer (218 unit deal in 2020). The US XM30 competition (Bradley replacement) in 2024 was won by GD (XM30 Robotic Combat Vehicle), not Lynx. Italy evaluation is ongoing; Slovakia reconsidering 2024.
