Rheinmetall KF51 Panther / KMW Leopard 2A8

The KF51 Panther is a radical new MBT prototype from Rheinmetall (first reveal 2022): 130 mm Rh-130 L/52 main gun (about 50% more kinetic energy than 120 mm), autoloader, integrated Top Attack Protection System (TAPS) APS, drone launcher for reconnaissance. It is not a Leopard 2 replacement but a potential "next-generation" option for MGCS (Main Ground Combat System) — the Franco-German-Italian next-gen tank program with IOC ~2040. The KF51 is not yet in series production, but Hungary has expressed interest.
