Operating principle

David's Sling — IDF name "Sharvit Ksamim" ("Magic Wand") — fills the niche between Iron Dome (short) and Arrow (long). The Stunner interceptor is an unusual twin-pulse hit-to-kill missile with a Y-shaped nose (two separate seekers in two aerodynamic forefronts: one IIR seeker, one millimeter-wave radar seeker). This "asymmetric dual-seeker" configuration makes the Stunner highly ECCM-resistant: even with IR decoys or radar jamming, at least one working sensor remains. Range: 40–300 km, ceiling 15 km. Co-developed with RTX (US) as partner. Operational since 2017 in IDF service; in December 2023 used in the interception of a Houthi-Iranian cruise missile, and in April 2024 involved in intercepting Iranian attack systems.
