Eurofighter Typhoon T4

The Eurofighter Typhoon is the pan-European 4.5-gen jet (Airbus + BAE + Leonardo), one of the most aerodynamically capable fighters in production. Two Eurojet EJ200 turbofans, Mach 2, supercruise (Mach 1.5 without afterburner), close-coupled canard-delta layout with fly-by-wire / fly-by-light. Sensors: Captor-M mechanical radar, Captor-E AESA in T3+ (Tranche 3+), CAESAR AESA radar in the latest ECRS Mk2 (Electronically scanned with Centerline Engaged Radar, with a wide field of regard) — a major AESA upgrade that partially closed the radar gap with the F-35. PIRATE IRST pod, Praetorian DASS EW suite. Weapons: Meteor, AIM-120, ASRAAM, IRIS-T, Storm Shadow, Brimstone, Paveway. Users: UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria (15), Saudi Arabia (72 + 60+), Kuwait (28), Oman (12), Qatar (24). It has been attracting renewed interest since 2024: Poland, Turkey.
